As demand has been rising for dragon fruit, which is famous worldwide for its deliciousness and nutrition, farmers always look for new technologies to increase the fruit yield. Product general information
Vietnam is one of the world’s biggest dragon fruit exporters. The country grows and harvests dragon fruit in three seasons. Summer is on-season, spring and autumn are off-seasons, while winter with low temperature is not suitable for the crop. The highest yield is obtained in the on-season, while productivity in the off-seasons only reaches around half of that in the on-season.
Meanwhile, demand for dragon fruit increases around the year and has become a global demand. The point is how to increase dragon fruits even in the off-seasons. Its bulb can be applied to any kind of dragon fruit such as white flesh and red flesh, young and mature plants. The LED light can help increase the yield during the off-seasons by three to four times, without natural lighting.

Product features
One of the dominant features is that its spectrum is suitable for dragon fruit. This spectrum is different from those of LED lights for general lighting, and also different from those of other LED grow lights for chrysanthemum, algae, and medical trees.
Moreover, this light is installed and operated outside. Therefore, its Ingress Protection rating and the socket shall be IP65, ensuring no penetration of dust or water.
The bulb is easy to install with socket and wire hanging between poles supporting dragon fruit plants.
Instructions of usage
There are several notes (shown below) that users should remember.
- Do not dismantle any part of the lamp;
- Shut down electricity during installation;
- Do not touch the lamp under operation;
- Do not use the lamp with dimmer;
- Lamps with water-proof sockets are recommended.
In relation to lamps’ distribution, a supporting pole is placed every 3 meters, while long wire and fix wire are installed at the top of the poles. Sockets are hung at around the middle of the poles. Next, Rang Dong’s LED grow lamps are twisted into the sockets. Finally, turn power on to ensure they work perfectly.
Depending on daily sunny hour, artificial lighting should be added for a suitable duration. Adding light is unnecessary in summer, while additional lighting for the plants is needed in spring and autumn
