Founded in 2011, the Lighting Research & Development Center (LRDC) is considered “The Science Technology Brain” of Rang Dong Light Source and Vacuum Flask Joint Stock Company. The center’s mission is to research and develop new light sources, build green lighting systems and solutions for a comfortable, energy-saving and eco-friendly lighting space.

TEAM OF SCIENTISTS OF LIGHTING RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT CENTER

Up to now, Rang Dong has attracted more than 40 scientists working at the LRDC. This is a staff of high-quality specialists, professors, associate professors, doctors and engineers from famous institutes and schools nationwide.

LRDC’S SCIENTIFIC AND TECHNOLOGICAL CAPACITY

Rang Dong spends 2% of revenue annually for investment in technological equipment (hardware investment), and 20% of after-tax profit on the development of science and technology (software investment). LRDC has a measurement system as well as modern quality control system, enabling scientists to effectively carry out research and experiment.

RESEARCH & DEVELOP SPECIAL LIGHTING

Along with developing new light sources, the LRDC researches and creates Green Lighting Solutions applied in construction that meet strict requirements and lighting standards. The center is also developing lighting solutions for high-tech agriculture to support Vietnamese farmers.

After five years of establishment, LRDC has achieved outstanding breakthroughs, mastered science and technology, becoming a pioneer in developing a variety of synchronized, prestigious light sources that exceed customers' expectations.
