What is a Bluetooth mesh network in smart lighting?
Bluetooth mesh has been created as a means to make smart lighting controllable.
Bluetooth mesh was introduced in mid-2017, allowing thousands of devices to communicate with each other. In lighting, it means an easy and safe control of the lights’ On/ Off state, their brightness, Correlated Color Temperature, Red-Green-Blue (RGB) and so on.
Unlike other wireless light control systems, Bluetooth mesh operates without a router or gateways, every device in the system can send and get messages so the system has no single point of failure and saves energy.

Rang Dong’s Bluetooth lights belong to six ranges, namely:
- LED Bulb
- LED Downlight: Standard downlight, COB downlight, Rotatable downlight
- LED Panel
- LED Ceiling
- LED Track Light
- LED Strip Light
All of these products can be operated with or without the Internet by smartphone, voice control or scene controller. LED Bulb and Strip Light use RGB LED and the remaining types of lights can be upgraded to 6500K from 3000K (CCT). Their dimming ranges from 10% to 100%.

Moreover, Rang Dong also provides the five following product ranges of Bluetooth devices
- Home controller
- On / off switch
- Sensor: light sensor, light motion sensor
- Scene controller
- Touch switch
These devices can get and send messages among them within 50 meters.
