Rang Dong develops LED desk lamp to provide better eye protection
Around half of the world population is projected to have myopia by 2050, from 28% estimated in 2010, said a World Health Organization report. The rising rate of those suffering from nearsightedness stems from people spending more time indoors, where their exposure to artificial lights causes long-term damage to the eyes. Rang Dong has developed LED desk lamp to help boost eye protection.

Rang Dong’s latest desk lamps, model RD-RL-38.LED, are aimed at raising eye protection.
The product, coded RD-RL-38.LED, is Rang Dong’s latest brand-new desk lamp. Marketed in four pastel color options including light blue, light green, light red and light pink, the lamp produces two light colors, namely warm white (3000K) and cool white (6500K). With a simple but elegant design, the lamp has its body made from high-quality plastic which ensures durability and easy transport.
The desk lamp has a 360° flexible gooseneck. The neck can be changed to various shapes. Moreover, this flexible neck makes the lamp foldable, saving space for movement.

RD-RL-38.LED desk lamp is equipped with SunLike series LEDs provided by Seoul Semiconductor. The series have spectrum similar to that of the sun light and high wavelength blue light, instead of the low wavelength lights produced by conventional LEDs. Hence, the lamp light gives an impression as if work is done under natural light, which is good for users’ eyers.
This SunLike series LED lamp is only 6W but has more than 500lux of illuminance, helping users save much of the electric bill. Its CRI is bigger than 90 so the colors of objects under its light become more truthful and lively. The lamp’s lifespan is 50,000 hours while it produces no flicker or dark areas
