Vietnam’s Rang Dong Diversifies Solar Energy LED Lights

Lighting technologies using renewable energy are becoming increasingly important as communities seek sustainable energy solutions. Solar street lights

This is one of the most widely used solar solutions. The lights are designed to illuminate roads, pedestrian paths, village streets and public areas, improving nighttime safety. 

Separated solar street lights feature a design where the solar panel and lighting fixture are installed separately. This system operates entirely on solar energy and does not require grid electricity. Rang Dong’s power options range from 25 Watts to 500 Watts, allowing flexible installation for different road conditions. 

Integrated solar street lights combine the solar panel, battery and LED lamps into a single compact unit, with simple installation and maintenance. Rang Dong offers integrated models with power levels such as 30 Watts. 

Hybrid solar street lights operate using both solar energy and AC 220V grid power. This hybrid design ensures stable lighting performance in locations with limited sunlight or where full-night illumination is required. Rang Dong provides hybrid systems with capacities of 80 Watts, 100 Watts and 120 Watts. 

IoT solar street lights represent a more advanced technology. The lights integrate Internet of Things (IoT) connectivity and artificial intelligence to monitor performance and manage lighting systems remotely. The system can collect operational data, predict equipment faults, and optimize lighting schedules to extend product lifespan. 

In addition, Rang Dong has developed solar and wind hybrid lighting systems, which combine solar energy with wind power. This green energy solution provides stable lighting even during cloudy or rainy days. 

A typical example is the CSD08.SL.WIN 50W.MPL model designed for mountainous roads, border areas and remote transport routes. 

Solar floodlights

These lights are commonly used for indoor lighting, gardens, building facades, billboards and public spaces. 

The CP02 model series includes power options of 30W, 40W, 50W, 100W and 150W. The lights include light sensors that automatically control on/off operation depending on environmental brightness. They can also be operated using a remote control.

Adjustable dimming feature allows users to modify brightness levels according to lighting requirements. This product line was developed through Rang Dong’s cooperation with the Hanoi University of Science and Technology. 

The CP03 model series offers higher capacities, ranging from 100 Watts to 500 Watts. In addition to light sensors and remote control features, these lights are equipped with radar motion sensors that activate the light when movement is detected. The function improves both energy efficiency and security for outdoor areas. 

Specialized solar lighting systems

Beyond standard lighting applications, Rang Dong has products specialized for particular environments and industries. 

Solar lights for fishery are designed with corrosion-resistant materials suitable for saltwater environments. The lights are used on fishing boats and also installed in coastal areas. Rang Dong currently offers models with power levels of 30 Watts and 50 Watts. 

Solar lighting systems for shops and warehouses provide indoor illumination for storage facilities, workshops, parking areas and retail spaces. A typical power option available in this category is 150 Watts.  

Another specialized category includes solar landscape lighting designed for decorative purposes. They enhance gardens, villas, resorts, apartment complexes, restaurants, hotels and parks. Rang Dong’s decorative solar lighting has power levels of 2 Watts and 3 Watts.  

The company also provides solar battery chargers for charging household batteries or batteries for fishing vessels, as well as solar power storage systems designed for locations with unstable electricity supply or no grid connection. These systems include USB outputs and DC 5V or 12V connections for various devices.
