Rang Dong installs LED solar-powered lighting system on Vietnam-Laos border
Rang Dong has recently installed its LED lighting system using solar power at several places along the northwestern borderline with Laos where electricity from the national grid remains absent.
Places benefiting from the company's LED system include Chieng Tuong border guard station, Pa Khom control station, Phom Khoc checkpoint, and Chieng Tuong Secondary Semi-boarding School for ethnic minority children, all in Vietnam's province of Son La. Chieng Tuong commune is 230 km (140 miles) northwest of Hanoi.
The installed system includes 70W solar headlight, 50W and 30W solar street lights with illuminance quality meeting QCVN 07-7:2016/BXD standard, ensuring brightness and aesthetics as well as energy-saving. The LED lighting system contributes to maintaining border security and improving people's lives.
In the coming time, Rang Dong, Vietnam's leading manufacturer of LED products and provider of smart lighting solutions, has planned to replicate this project of installing the LED solar lighting model nationwide, in cooperation with the Defense Ministry.
