Vietnam’s Rang Dong Secures Prestigious TÜV SÜD Certification
The recognition of Rang Dong’s products by TÜV SÜD, a German entity established during the Industrial Revolution (1830-1914) by independent companies, marks a major milestone in Vietnam's high-tech exports. TÜV stands for Technischer Überwachungsverein in German and means ‘Technical Inspection Association’, one of the most rigorous and prestigious independent testing and certification bodies.
Rang Dong, Vietnam’s leading manufacturer of high-tech lighting and electronics, received the certification on January 20, 2026, confirming that the Hanoi-based company’s core products meet the stringent technical and legal requirements of the most demanding global markets.
The certifications cover Rang Dong’s primary high-tech lighting lines, which are central to the company’s global export strategy:
LED Street Lights: Designed for infrastructure and urban projects.
LED Power Supplies (Drivers): The critical electronic "heart" of smart lighting systems.
Rang Dong is the only company in Vietnam so far to hold the CB (Certified Body) certification for LED power supply products and one of a few Vietnamese enterprises to have secured the certification for LED street lighting.

The CB Scheme is an international system that allows member countries to mutually recognize product safety test results.
For Rang Dong, it means a market access, or the ability to enter multiple global markets without redundant safety testing, and technical credibility, as its product's design and performance are aligned with international IEC standards.

Mr. Lionel Montarges, Vice President of Product Services at TÜV SÜD Vietnam, said the CB, CE-LVD, ENEC and TÜV SÜD Mark were not granted based on a single sample.
“Our evaluation includes a comprehensive assessment of the entire production system, quality control processes and periodic factory surveillance,” Mr. Montarges said. “This reflects international recognition of Rang Dong’s technological capacity, management, and production discipline at a systemic level.”
This holistic audit ensures that Rang Dong’s ‘Smart & Green’ factories operate with the precision required for high-stakes international contracts.
Mr. Nguyen Hoang Kien, Rang Dong’s Deputy General Director, said these certifications were vital for reducing technical barriers and shortening the ‘time-to-market’ process.
“This is a step in our long-term strategy to standardize products according to global benchmarks,” said Mr. Kien.
