PM 2.5 air quality monitor – a must-have item for a smart home
As the air quality is getting worse and millions die from air pollution every year as per WHO data, more people wish to keep track of the air quality at home. Rang Dong, one of Vietnam's biggest manufacturers of smart devices, has released its new smart air quality monitor for indoor usage, which can detect the particulate matter (PM10, PM2.5, PM1.0) as well as humidity and temperature in our rooms.

Rang Dong’s air quality monitor, model CB05.PM2.5.BLE, is made of anti-fired plastic with a pure white color. Its small size 80x80x68.5 (mm) doesn’t take up much space in the house. For the particulate matter measurements, this device uses a light scattering laser sensor technology. The result is real-time updates on its LCD screen. We can check the levels of PM2.5, PM10 and PM1.0; humidity as well as temperature in the air any time by that screen or on the RalliSmart app, which is downloaded to a smartphone and connected to this sensor.
The device needs a 5V/1A adapter and has a micro USB charging port so that we can easily recharge it and bring it anywhere in our house for measurement. On a full battery it can work up to 10 hours. This air quality monitor helps save our electric bills because it only needs less than 2 watts to operate. CB05.PM2.5.BLE works in the temperature from -10°C to 50°C, senses the humidity up to 95%; and measure the particulate matter with the size less than 10 μg/m³, 2.5 μg/m³ and 1.0 μg/m³.
This monitor has a color-coded LED indicator at the back. It changes colors according to the level of the air quality. Green light (PM2.5 < 76) means the air quality is good, yellow (76 ≤ PM2.5 < 116) means moderate and red (PM2.5 ≥ 116) means unhealthy.

This compact device manufactured by Rang Dong keeps us informed of the air quality via the RalliSmart app downloaded to our smartphone.
Model CB05.PM2.5.BLE uses Bluetooth for connection with RalliSmart app on a smartphone, giving users great convenience for being able to check all the readings within reach. Moreover, this app allows users to connect every smart device at home to make a system and let them control each other automatically. For example, we can set it up to close the window and turn on the air purifier if the air quality monitor informs us of unhealthy air quality.
User’s guide
An air quality detector is a must-have item for a smart home.
This air quality monitor is easy to use with only one power button below the LCD screen. We can press and hold the button for a few seconds to turn it on or off. When the power is on, we can save energy by pressing the button once to turn off the LCD screen while the sensor still works.
To connect the device to the RalliSmart app, we reset the device by pressing the button in a small hole near the micro USB charging port, turn off the monitor and turn it on again, we can find the wifi icon on its screen is flashing. In the meantime, we scan the device’s name in the app and connect it.
Equipped with smart features, this monitor should not be used as a single device, but be connected to a smart system to improve our quality of life.
