Rang Dong Leader Wins Prize For World Lighting Sector Input
The top executive of Vietnam’s Rang Dong has won an international prize for outstanding contributions to the world’s solid lighting sector in 2022.
General Director Nguyen Doan Thang has presented the Global SSL Award of Industry Development Outstanding Contribution (IDOC) 2022 by the International Solid-State Lighting Alliance (ISA) at an online ceremony as part of the ISA General Assembly meeting on November 3.

Rang Dong, or fully known as Rang Dong Light Source and Vacuum Flask Joint Stock Company, is Vietnam’s leading manufacturer of LED products and smart lighting solution provider.
Three awards were announced at the International Solid-State Lighting Alliance’s General Assembly meeting on Nov 3, 2022.
ISA is an international organization, the members of which include associations, international and regional institutions, leading companies, and internationally renowned universities in the solid-state lighting area.
The IDOC is part of the three ISA awards announced at the ceremony, which also included the “Global SSL Award of Outstanding Achievements” (AOA) and “Global SSL Award of Innovations Top100” (Innovations TOP100).
The IDOC award recognizes great contributions by organizations and individuals to the growth of the world’s solid lighting sector.
On behalf of ISA President Cao Jianlin, ISA General Secretary Ruisheng Yue praised Mr. Thang's input for the advancement and use of solid lighting technology.
Mr. Thang, who is also the Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Lighting Association, was recognized for his achievements, influence, and tireless efforts in this industry on a global scale.

Nearly 100 delegates from many countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Japan, China, Brazil, India, Russia, Australia, and Vietnam, attended the meeting.
At the meeting, leading experts delivered reports on developments, the most recent research results, challenges, and development trends in the areas of Li-Fi, Micro-LEDs, smart lighting, the global development of the semiconductor lighting (SSL) sector, the combination of technological innovation and the need for energy efficiency.
Rang Dong became an ISA member in 2018, a fact that reassures the company's role and reputation as well as its active contributions to the world lighting sector.
