SunLike LED technology and its principle
SunLike LED, produced by Seoul Semiconductor, is the world's first natural light spectrum LED technology. The technology replaces blue light with purple light to trigger the creation of white LED light. While commercial LED lights have many differences from sunlight, SunLike LED technology produces light extremely close to the sunlight spectrum. Therefore, the object illuminated by the SunLike LED has the same color as illuminated by the sun.
Unlike the normal LED light spectrum that contains high blue light, the SunLike LED light spectrum restricts it.

Since ancient times when artificial light had yet to be created, humans have spent millions of years adapting to natural light. Sunlight helps regulate human circadian rhythms thereby providing biological, psychological, and physical health benefits. Nowadays, people spend most of their time studying and working indoors, with artificial light from LEDs the spectrum of which is completely different from natural light. Blue light affects the ganglion cells in the retina as signals that inhibit the hormone Melatonin (a hormone that causes sleepiness, helps the body rest). In the long term, it will lead to circadian rhythm disorders, which are the cause of diseases such as obesity, cardiovascular disease, or cancer. SunLike, by limiting blue light, improves sleep, supports effective circadian rhythms, and protects health. According to Seoul Semiconductor's research results, with SunLike lighting, the time to fall asleep was 23% faster, and the rest time during sleep was also improved by 43%. Therefore, sleep efficiency has been significantly improved by up to 90%.

Blue light, with a wavelength of 440 nm, coincides with the sensitive spectrum of S-cone type cone cells. Too much blue light will damage these cells, damage the retina and cause eye strain, as well as increase the risk of macular degeneration.
