Rang Dong has Vietnam's best LED production line

Since its 1962 invention that opened up a new era for the lighting industry, LED lights have been through various improvements to become cheaper, lighter and more environmentally-friendly. Vietnam’s Rang Dong company began LED light production in 2011 and has now emerged as one of the country’s leading manufacturers of the products.

High yielding

Over the past decade, the Hanoi-based company has become Vietnam’s leading company in the field of high-quality lighting, with high performance, power-saving and environmentally friendly features. With an annual output of 50 million LED products, Rang Dong has outperformed all domestic rivals. 

Being an all-in-one lighting manufacturer, Rang Dong has marketed various types of LED products to cover all customer demands, including LED Panel Lights, LED Tubes, LED High Bay Lights, Energy-saving Lamps, LED Flat Lights and LED Bulb.

Technology master

In order to reach the high annual output, Rang Dong has to master the technology and now has full control of all the LED production stages, from designing LED modules to manufacture and testing finished products before sales.

It is the only lighting enterprise in Vietnam that has invested in ANSYS ICEPAK thermal management design to serve LED lighting design. The famous U.S. software specializes in thermal simulation design of complex products such as automobiles and airplanes.

Rang Dong has also invested in the product’s reliability evaluation system applied in G7, the LED rating devices under LM80 standard, EMC electromagnetic compatibility testing equipment, U.S. device test and rapid life expectancy evaluation. Its investment has been put in modern automated lines with high accuracy to improve the reliability and quality of LED products. 

Thanks to the experienced staff, especially engineers at Rang Dong's Lighting Research and Development Center, the company always keeps up-to-date with the world’s latest technology for further improvements of the LED production line.

High-quality LED packages

LED packages are the core components of a LED light. They decide the quality of the light and the light source. Rang Dong’s LED production line uses Samsung LED packages that meet IEC 62778 biosecurity safety standards, and IEC 6247. The qualification means LED products’ green light ratio creates a friendly light environment and is safe for the eyes.

Highly automated modern lines

In late 2016, Rang Dong established an Automation Board to replace simple and repetitive manual labor with electronic production lines. The company built a fully automated LED workshop, covering from the input stage to the output warehouse and applying I-4.0 achievements.

The Board of ERP application tools is integrated in operating production. Technology parameters, control parameters on the lines are processed by software.

The strict quality control system

To give out high-quality products, Rang Dong has applied a strict quality control system (IQC, PQC, OQC) with modern equipment and methods as below:

• An advanced quality management system based on the European model EFQM;
• Environmental management system ISO 14001: 2015;
• Deploying production of LEAN, 6 sigmas, 5S, Kaizen, and TPM of Japan;
• Investing in a modern equipment system to boost quality control;
• Testing laboratory conforming to national standard ISO9000.
