Vietnam’s Rang Dong Gives Students Business Experience
The Hanoi-based firm, fully known as Rang Dong Light Source and Vacuum Flask Joint Stock Company, welcomed 55 students from the Faculty of Business Administration at the Foreign Trade University (FTU) on March 9, 2026. The visit marked another effort by Rang Dong to bridge the gap between academic theory and high-tech industrial realit, giving students real business experience. The company has in recent years been hosting similar visits for students from various universities in Hanoi.
The March visit was aimed at introducing FTU students with the practicalities of modern corporate governance, digital transformation and large-scale manufacturing.

During the tour, students checked on Showroom 4.0 Exploration where they were given an overview of Rang Dong’s history and its transition toward a diverse Smart Home/Smart City product and service ecosystem.
In the next step, they familiarized themselves with high-tech manufacturing, and saw the Surface Mount Technology (SMT) production lines, where precision electronics were assembled.
FTU students also visited the LED Factory Control Center, checking on the digital operations involving real-time data management and automated production workflows.
Beyond the physical tour, students joined a briefing session to learn about Rang Dong’s strategic roadmap, on which innovation and digital transformation act as core pillars for sustainable growth.
Bridging academia and industry
The Rang Dong-FTU collaboration provided a platform for students to discuss operational challenges and management strategies with Rang Dong’s experts. This business experience is pivotal for future administrators to understand the integration of technology in optimizing supply chains and production efficiency.
By opening doors to prestigious institutions such as FTU, Rang Dong reaffirms its commitment to nurturing Vietnam’s future workforce. The initiative not only provides students with a realistic perspective on modern business environments but also inspires the next generation of leaders to drive national digital transformation.
Graduates from such programs gain a competitive edge by witnessing firsthand how “Made in Vietnam” technology is placed on the global competition.
